South Bergenite: Every year, moths are drawn to DeKorte

When I tell folks that the N.J. Meadowlands Commission will be hosting an awesome free Moth Night in DeKorte Park later this month, the reaction is often the same: "Yukkkkkkkkkkk!"

This breaks my heart. Moths have one of the worst reputations in New Jersey's insect world - ranking right up there with mosquitoes, ticks and stinkbugs. But most of the thousands of species are beneficial, and often downright beautiful.
