South Jersey Times: Fish kill reported in Runnemede's Hirsch Lake; 300-500 carp affected

RUNNEMEDE — New Jersey Fish and Wildlife officials are trying to find out what killed about 300 to 500 carp in a local lake.

The fish kill in Hirsch Lake was reported Wednesday, said state Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) spokesman Larry Hanja.

A Fish and Wildlife biologist visited the lake on Thursday to investigate.
