TRENTON, N.J. - NJ Keep It Green today congratulated the D & R Greenway Land Trust for the preservation of the 70-acre Carpenter Farm in Mannington Township, Salem County and renewed its call for a sustainable source of dedicated funding for open space, farmland and historic preservation this year.

"The preservation of the Carpenter Farm is a prime example of why New Jersey needs to continue investments in farmland preservation," said Tom Gilbert, chairman of NJ Keep It Green. "With no new money available, projects like this will grind to a halt unless our state leaders act this year."
