A pair of fish hawks nesting at Island Beach State Park have a worldwide audience for their Jersey Shore avian reality show — thanks to a volunteer project that brought a surfing electrical engineer and a social media expert together with wildlife conservationists.

Streaming online video from a camera peering into the nest lets anyone watch the domestic drama of an osprey pair (also called fish hawks), and hopefully their spring 2012 chicks. Naturalists say this breeding season has brought about 30 pairs returning to the 8-mile long barrier beach park and its sedge islands in Barnegat Bay.
