New Jersey Audubon's 29th Annual World Series of Birding will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012. It runs from midnight to midnight (or anywhere in between) and it's held anywhere within the state of New Jersey.

It's the day when New Jersey becomes the arena for a 24-hour environmental treasure hunt where everybody wins and nobody loses - and it helps save the environment! The challenge is to identify (by sight or sound) as many species of birds as possible while having fun and raising money for the conservation cause of your choice.

All levels of experience are welcome. Registration is required. You can enter as a Level 1 competing team in various areas, as a Level 4 team in the Senior Challenge if all your team members are at least 60 years of age, or as a Level 3 team in the Youth Challenge.

If you want to bird on your own as part of the World Series, you still must register as a Level 2 Individual or Non-Competing Team. There are no registration fees involved for Level 2 but you must raise pledges only for New Jersey Audubon.

Contact Marleen or Sheila at 609-884-2736 or e-mail  birdcapemay@njaudubon.org
to find out how you can participate or visit www.worldseriesofbirding.org
for details and registration material.

Registration deadline is April 25, 2012.

Hope to see you at the finish line!
