On our SuperBird Sunday Walk, we had real nice looks at an Orange-crowned Warbler, Ruby-crowned Kinglets and a certain bird pictured here. Can you find it and ID it?

We also had great looks at a rising full moon at DeKorte Park last week. For nice looks at Jupiter and Mars, check out the McDowell Observatory at DeKorte Park on free viewing nights (Mondays and Wednesdays). Link is on the Meadowlands Blog in the right-hand column.

We have been seeing a falconer's Red-tail Hawk along Disposal Road for the past couple of months. Look closely and you can see the bells and jesses. A fellow falconer has tried to catch the bird — so far unsuccessfully — to remove the annoying bling.
