Hunterdon County Democrat: Clinton Township couple believes cougar lives nearby

Richard and Renee Perst think there’s a cougar in their Clinton Township neighborhood. Mick Valent, principal zoologist for the state Division of Fish and Wildlife, thinks it’s possible, but he is dubious.

The Persts, who live on Corral Circle between Lebanon and Cokesbury, allow hunters on their property and the hunters gave them a couple of photos that had been taken in October with a camera they had set up to monitor the wildlife.
