WNJ Exclusive: Photo contest honorable mentions

WildNewJersey.tv today unveiled the honorable mention entries in their Second Annual Wildlife Photography contest.  As first announced yesterday, WNJ Exclusive: Second annual photo contest winners announced!, four photographers were cited as Honorable Mentions for their works depicting the Garden State's outdoors that is all too often overlooked.

Robert Lopshire of Frenchtown received an Honorable Mention for his photo of a tree frog in Kingwood.

Capt. Paul Eidman of Tinton Falls received an Honorable Mention for his photo of a clearnose skate eye at Sandy Hook Beach.

Donna Herrmann of High Bridge received an Honorable Mention for her photo of ferns at Willowwood Arboretum in Chester.

Natalie Morawsky of Princeton received an Honorable Mention for her photo of the Great Falls with a rainbow in Paterson.

The photos winning for the Scenery category ran this morning, Photo contest winners showing "scenic" side of New Jersey, on WildNewJersey.tv, while the Wildlife category winners ran with the original story on yesterday, WNJ Exclusive: Second annual photo contest winners announced!.

Judging was done by a panel of WildNewJersey.tv correspondents, with decisions based on creativity, composition, and impact of conveying the uniqueness of each photo.  All winning photographs were taken within the State of New Jersey.

WildNewJersey.tv was founded in 2008 by nature writer David Wheeler, the author of Wild New Jersey: Nature Adventures in the Garden State.  As the only daily conservation blog in New Jersey, WildNewJersey.tv is run by the nonprofit Edison Wetlands Association.
