Warren Reporter: Snowy owl spotted in Harmony Township at Merrill Creek Reservoir
Occasionally a snowy owl, a.k.a. Arctic owl or the great white owl will show up in New Jersey but the large white birds usually spend most of their time within the Arctic Circle. One showed up at Merrill Creek and was first noticed on Nov. 8 by fisherman and birdwatcher Ray Richkus of Flemington. He was able to get some photos and shared them on flickr.com.
