Shore11.org: Buckeyes and Monarchs Everywhere
Butterfly migration was in full swing this past weekend. Unseasonably warm temperatures
and light winds seemed to have brought about large gatherings of Common Buckeyes and Monarch butterflies to feed and rest. The underbrush, shrubbery, and flowers in many parks all over the edge of the bay were filled with colorful fluttering wings of flying insects dotting to and from various late flowers in bloom, including goldenrod and asters.
