October is the right time to fill the thermos up with coffee in the morning and head inland for some fishing adventures. The leaves are turning colors, the cool mornings often lead to bright sun-splashed afternoons and the fish are still very active.

There are already wild fish available for the taking, but to make it a little fishier, the N.J. Dept. of Fish and Wildlife began its fall tradition of releasing trout into the streams, ponds and lakes this week.
