The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service adopted a Comprehensive Conservation Plan for Supawna Meadows National Wildlife Refuge this week that sets both short- and long-term goals for the area along the Delaware River, near Fort Mott.

According to Laurel Wilkerson, deputy refuge manager, the plan is a portion of the 1997 Refuge Improvement Act.

“One of the things it does is specifically layout the direction that all refuges were directed in a 15-year span,” Wilkerson said.
