NJ.com: Tornado warnings across the state join Hurricane Irene

Hurricane Irene has her eyes fixed on Atlantic City tonight as she rages on toward the coast of New Jersey, expected to skip across the eastern edge of the state Sunday.

As of 9 p.m. tonight, according to the National Weather Service, the eye of Irene was "lashing the Virginia Tidewater region and southern Delmarva peninsula with heavy rains and hurricane-force wind gusts."
