Change.org News: Petitions cause Food Network to remove sharks from menus

Sharks are in hot water, with nearly one-third of shark species threatened with extinction, according to the International Union for the Conservation of Nature. In fewer than 10 days after the launch of a Change.org petition urging the Food Network to stop featuring shark as food, the media company removed all shark recipes from its Web site and committed to not use shark as an ingredient in the future.
