The Annandale Hose Company and Clinton First Aid and Rescue Squad responded to the North Hunterdon High School campus to assist Clinton Township police and state Fish & Wildlife personnel with a bear in a tree on Saturday.

The 190-pound bear was eventually tranquilized and caught in a net as it fell from the tree. Personnel from Fish & Wildlife tattooed the bear and transported it for release back into the wild, according to Annandale Fire Chief Martin Peverley.
