The Messenger-Gazette: Enjoy a 'sunflower safari' at Duke Farms in Hillsborough
The sunflowers are being grown for bird seed through a program sponsored by New Jersey Audubon that represents a collaboration between farmers and conservationists. The S.A.V.E. program promotes locally-grown agricultural products that compliment habitat and soil conservation practices.

Experience a walk through acres of sunflowers in bloom at Duke Farms in Hillsborough on Sunday, Aug. 21 for 10 to 11:30 a.m. A naturalist will lead participants through the sunflower fields, observe how wildlife is using this habitat and explain the concepts behind the land management practices being used in these fields.
