Experience a walk through acres of sunflowers in bloom at Duke Farms in Hillsborough on Sunday, Aug. 21 for 10 to 11:30 a.m. A naturalist will lead participants through the sunflower fields, observe how wildlife is using this habitat and explain the concepts behind the land management practices being used in these fields.

The sunflowers are being grown for bird seed through a program sponsored by New Jersey Audubon that represents a collaboration between farmers and conservationists. The S.A.V.E. program promotes locally-grown agricultural products that compliment habitat and soil conservation practices.
