MyCentralJersey: Black bear spotted in same Jackson neighborhood where baboon was seen

A 5-foot tall black bear has been spotted in the area of Buttonwood Drive and Beech Court over the past 24 hours, worrying residents with children and pets.


The bear was spotted in Claire Meyer’s backyard Tuesday afternoon.

“I was sitting in the back room watching TV, when the bear just walked through the back yard,’’ Meyer said Wednesday morning.
