WNJ Video: NJ nature video series premieres with "Bears on Bear Mountain"
by Jillian Weislo
Wild New Jersey Productions today launches its original video series with "Bears on Bear Mountain". This fun and light-hearted look at the stunning Harriman State Park, along the New Jersey border in New York State, follows videographer Krysti Sabins in her journey through this jaw-dropping natural wonder, less than an hour's drive from millions of New Jersey residents.
Timed fortuitously with the recent spate of black bear encounters in Central New Jersey neighorhoods, the video also captures Sabins encounter with a more 'wild' bear family on - where else? - Bear Mountain, within the state park.
The series will continue with a new video every Thursday at noon, and lasting throughout the summer. The videos - produced by Sabins and nature author David Wheeler - will focus on a wide range of ecological issues and destinations in the Garden State, running in bite-sized portions from 2 to 5 minutes long.
Stay tuned to WildNewJersey.tv next Thursday, July 14 at 12 noon (Eastern Standard Time) for the second video - a boat trip down a wild and scenic South Jersey river in search of nesting bald eagles!
