An 89-acre natural grassland tract in Hunterdon County, with views of Amwell Valley and bordering the forested ridges of Sourland Mountain, will be permanently protected through a $2.1 million preservation deal, DEP Commissioner Bob Martin announced today.

The DEP has worked with D&R Greenway Land Trust and other partners to save the Cider Mill Preserve tract in East Amwell, marking another major State preservation project that has been completed in this 50th anniversary of the State’s Green Acres Program.
