Gloucester County Times: Army Corps releases new environmental assessment on Delaware River dredging project

The Army Corps of Engineers is inviting the public to weigh in on the most recent environmental assessment of the long-planned project to deepen a 102-mile stretch of Delaware River from 40 to 45 feet.

The draft environmental assessment, released on Tuesday, addresses changes to the deepening project, as well as how two types of wildlife recently proposed to be listed as endangered species — Atlantic sturgeon and the loggerhead sea turtle — could be affected.
