WNJ Exclusive: Robin nest on front door wreath

All photos courtesy of Bob Catania.
A family in Westfield, NJ got a surprise knock of their door from a pair of nesting Robins that decided to build their nest on the family's front door wreath. The birds kept an active nest even though the family opened the door numerous times throughout the day. Below is a series of photos which shows the progression from an empty nest to the grown chicks.

A vigilant parent was never too far away.

What a delightful story. Amazing that the eggs and hatchlings have made it through all those openings and closings. Lovely.
