Courier Post: In Easter season, bunnies start hopping

Here — both figuratively and literally — comes Peter Cottontail. Basking in the spotlight of seasonal attention as both Easter and spring mating season approach is none other than our wildlife neighbor, the Eastern Cottontail rabbit.

Most of us have heard the 1950s Easter song lyrics on our radios or have seen the '70s animated version of Peter on our TV screens. And from a literal standpoint, it's just as likely you've seen some of Peter's wild cousins cavorting around.
