High water levels from recent rainfall have forced the state Department of Environmental Protection Division of Fish and Wildlife to postpone trout stocking in three rivers in Morris County to as late as next week, officials said.

The Rockaway, Passaic and Russia Brook rivers were scheduled to be stocked with trout on Monday, but, stocking has been postponed for the Rockaway River until at least Friday, and until Monday for the Passaic and Russia Brook Rivers, said Jim Sciascia, a Division of Fish and Wildlife spokesman.
