Police, firefighters and other officials hold a net below a tranquilized black bear, waiting for it to fall from a tree along the on-ramp to the New Jersey Turnpike in East Windsor on Saturday. The 296-pound bruin scaled the tree when State Police responded to emergency calls about it. The animal was finally removed by a ladder truck and released in a nearby wildlife management area, officials said.
