A cold winter hasn’t put a halt to various redevelopment projects in the city and the emerging spring weather should push some of those projects through to completion. According to Egg Harbor City planner Tim Michel, the redevelopers for the Rittenberg School, Conifer Redevelopment, are expected to come before the Planning Board in April for preliminary and final site plan approval.

Conifer Development will construct a 100-unit senior housing complex on the site of the former middle school. The redevelopment plan was approved last year and the city and developers are still negotiating a contract.
