Super Sewers: On the Banks of the Old Raritan

From Super Sewers: As part of the Sustainable Raritan River Initiative at Rutgers, today several of us from Rutgers went out sampling on the mighty Raritan River.  Rutgers has five campuses in New Brunswick, and the Raritan runs right through the middle of them.  That's why our Alma Mater is literally titled "On the Banks of the Old Raritan."

With money from the Edison Wetlands Association, I am taking samples to measure water quality parameters along the Raritan from where it joins up with Raritan Bay upstream to New Brunswick at the Rutgers Boat House.  We used Rutgers' research vessel, the Caleta, to the take the samples.  We were able to do this because of a grant from the Mushett Family Foundation which funds the boat time for educational and research activities.
