The Star-Ledger: Two Sussex County hikers are rescued in Vernon woods

Rescuers found two hikers who had been lost in Wawayanda State Park late Monday night after one man reported that his friend was having a diabetic emergency, police said today.

A 19-year-old man from Wantage called for help at 6:45 p.m. Monday saying they were lost and that his friend, a 20-year-old Sussex Borough man, was diabetic, according to Vernon police spokesman Sgt. Daniel Young.
