My Central Jersey: Seal spotted on Perth Amboy beach

A 9-month-old harp seal, which appears to be in good health, beached itself Wednesday on the city's waterfront along Sadowski Parkway. Fire Chief David Volk said firefighters took photos of the baby seal, which were sent to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine.

"They (the stranding center) said it looks fine,'' Volk said. "It doesn't look sick or distressed.''
