Does turkey hunting appeal to you but you just don't know where to start? Or do you turkey hunt now and want to refine your skills? Attending this program conducted by Division of Fish and Wildlife Director and expert turkey hunter Dave Chanda, is the perfect way to get started or to improve your odds of harvesting a turkey. In addition to some excellent hunting tips, Dave will review the agency's Wild Turkey Restoration Project and the life history of the state's largest and smartest game bird.

There will also be a calling clinic conducted by members of the NJ Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation at 2:30 p.m. immediately following the seminar. The clinic is oriented for youngsters aged 10 to 18 but is open to all individuals, and will demonstrate the use of box, slate, and air operated turkey calls.

Registration opens February 19 for this program, and is required. For more information see http://www.njfishandwildlife.com/news/2011/turkseminar11.htm on the division's website; to register call 908-637-4125.
