Friends of East Brunswick Environmental Commission is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the natural environment in and around East Brunswick, NJ.  Their newest series, Option Green, aims to provide "green" information and help to East Brunswick residents, businesses, and organizations.

According to Board member David Moskowitz, "The Option Green series is designed to show just how easy it is to be "green", through simple steps in our homes and communities and how each of us can make a difference through seemingly small steps that add up quickly if all we contribute."

The first lecture is on January 18th at 7pm at the East Brunswick Public Library.  It is on "Home Composting with Worms: Easy, Fun, and Odorless" and will be given by Rich Hills, the Director of the Middlesex County Solid Waste Management Program and an expert on worm composting.  He will be bringing a live worm composter and is a very engaging speaker. Light refreshments will be served and everyone attending should bring their own mug so that in keeping with the green theme of "Option Green" no unnecessary waste will be generated.
