DiVincenzo Jr. announced detailed plans for the fourth-annual Essex County Deer Management Program on Monday. At a press conference at the South Mountain Recreation Complex in West Orange, DiVincenzo spoke of the safety precautions being taken for and the ecological implications of this winter's deer culling program, which was announced in November.
"It's not about only culling deer, it's about making sure our community is aware of the dates that we're having the management program and that everyone is safe," DiVincenzo said. "I can say in the first three years there has not been one incident."
