News of Cumberland County: Deer meat allegedly used to cover up fatal hit & run

Edward Morrison was killed Dec. 15.

The Millville man charged with fleeing the scene of a motor vehicle accident in which a Newfield resident was killed is now additionally accused of attempting to cover up the alleged crime by placing deer meat on his car.

Assistant Prosecutor Michael Ostrowski during the accused’s arraignment Monday stated Robert Eisele Jr. tried to convince authorities that he had hit a deer instead of 36-year-old Edward Morrison on Dec. 15, on Silver Run Road, in Millville, according to the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office on Tuesday. In the days following the crash, family members of the victim recalled Eisele claiming he thought he had hit a deer.
