WNJ Exclusive: Photo contest winners showing "scenic" side of New Jersey

WildNewJersey.tv today unveiled the winning entries in the Scenery category of their First Annual Wildlife Photography contest.  As first announced yesterday WNJ Exclusive: Photo contest winners announced!, Allen Jones of Franklin Park won first prize in the Scenery category for his photo of a forest stream in winter in Griggstown.


Mark Otten of Shrewsbury won second prize in the Scenery category for his photo of a beautiful sky over Monmouth Beach.

And Denise Bittle of Cherry Hill won third prize in the Scenery category for her photo of meadows in Brigantine.

The photos receiving Honorable Mention will run tomorrow on WildNewJersey.tv.

Judging was done by a panel of WildNewJersey.tv correspondents, with decisions based on creativity, composition, and impact of conveying the uniqueness of each photo.  All winning photographs were taken within the State of New Jersey.

WildNewJersey.tv, founded in 2008 by nature writer David Wheeler, is the only daily conservation blog in New Jersey.  The blog is run by the nonprofit Edison Wetlands Association.
