Judging was done by a panel of WildNewJersey.tv correspondents, with decisions based on creativity, composition, and impact of conveying the uniqueness of each photo.  Entries submitted for other categories were combined in the Wildlife and Scenery categories for judging purposes, since not enough entries were submitted for the People in Nature and Juniors categories.  All winning photographs were taken within the State of New Jersey.

WildNewJersey.tv, founded in 2008 by nature writer David Wheeler, is the only daily conservation blog in New Jersey.  The blog is run by the nonprofit Edison Wetlands Association.
