Business owner Bill Hutson looked over the crashing surf at the
Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge Holgate Unit, concerned
about what the future holds for the pristine barrier beaches.
Three
different spots on the refuge, one about a half-mile from the parking
lot of the refuge and the other two are approximately two miles away,
near the nesting area for the piping plovers, run the risk of having
the bay and ocean meet, Hutson said.
