WildNewJersey.tv is excited to offer internships for nature enthusiasts looking to contribute to the state's only daily wildlife and conservation news blog.  Internships can specialize in either stories, videos, or social media promotion, and are offered remotely.  That's right - you can intern for Wild New Jersey from the comfort of your own home, and the convenience of your laptop or pc.

Internships are offered on a volunteer basis, at least initially, and Wild New Jersey will work with schools to help students earn credits where applicable.  A few hours a week are all that would be needed.  Past interns have included students and alumni of Rutgers, Fairleigh Dickinson, New York University, and a variety of other universities and colleges, as well as high school students.

Interns may choose between the following roles as their focus areas:

Researching wildlife, nature, and conservation news

Writing original stories about nature destinations, events, and issues

—Promoting nature issues through social media

—Posting stories and blog management

Book promotion and event planning

Photographing events and nature destinations

Filming videos that promote New Jersey nature and wildlife

For those with already busy schedules, involvement can be limited to roles like writing up brief stories on a recent nature event, or researching nature news one morning each week, or spending a few hours each week on Twitter and Facebook expanding Wild New Jersey's presence to better connect the conservation movement in New Jersey.

Anyone interested should email Jillian Weislo of Wild New Jersey at wildnewjersey@edisonwetlands.org
