Associated Press: Essex County schedules hunts to reduce deer population for early next year

Officials in northern New Jersey's Essex County say they've authorized another controlled hunt to reduce the deer population at three county-owned recreation areas.

County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo Jr. said today that the hunts will take place in January and February at South Mountain Reservation, Eagle Rock Reservation and Hilltop Reservation.
