From The Epoch Times: Escaped minks throughout Ireland’s countryside could be spotted in the thousands, as workers attempted to capture the semi-aquatic mammals on Wednesday. Around 5,000 of the escaped minks were formerly kept in by fences and cages at Anderson's Mink Farm, but over the weekend, their cages were cut and opened, according to the Associated Press. As a result, droves of the small, furry, carnivores escaped into the wilderness in County Donegal. However, the majority—28,000 minks—stayed put.
