Wayne Today: High Mountain Preserve offers escape into nature

Amid an urban backdrop, High Mountain Park Preserve, located near William Paterson University, offers hikers and outdoor enthusiasts an escape into nature, just minutes from home. The preserve is situated in the Preakness Range of the Watchung Mountains,bordering Wayne, Franklin Lakes and North Haledon. It's one of the largest wooded tracts of open space in the metropolitan area.
