Twelve budding entomologists took to the trails at the Wallkill River National Refuge last week in search of caterpillars and butterflies. Under the leadership of Giselle Smisko and assistants Justin, Olivia and James, the group of youngsters reviewed the life of the caterpillar in a fun, roundtable discussion. Smisko equated finding caterpillar eggs to a scavenger hunt.
