EnviroGuy: Decline of Barnegat Bay seagrass beds appears to worsen

Most of New Jersey’s life-sustaining seagrass beds are in the Barnegat Bay-Little Egg Harbor Estuary, and their long-standing decline appears to be worsening, according to a study summary.

The decline is linked to eutrophication, says the summary on the state Department of Environmental Protection website.
