Suburban Trends: Nuisance black bear euthanized in West Milford, but her three cubs are to be rehabilitated

in Clinton, which will be their home until they reach maturity and are released into the wild.

A nuisance mother black bear was trapped and euthanized on Aug. 10 around Clinton Road after allegations that she was raiding the neighborhood’s garbage and attempting to break into a house. But the fate of her three young cubs is now in the hands of a group that will help to make sure the baby bears don’t copy Mama Bear’s behavior.
