CourierPostOnline.com: Nymans Carving out a Niche with Duck Decoys

Ray and Barbara Nyman of Marlton and the Nyman Wildlife Carvers teach decoy carving at various locations and times during the year.

Ray Nyman and his wife, Barbara, have carved their own niche in life. Their strong hands from shaping wood for decades lend to a passion to donate their time to demonstrate their craft of traditional carving. Recently, the Nyman Wildlife Carvers taught their trade at Jersey Made in Mount Holly. Barbara specializes in carvings of shorebirds while Ray’s favorite is working decoys — Delaware River style. When they are teaching, they specialize in allowing their students to do the work — all of it — with their guidance.
