The Star-Ledger: Piscataway raccoon is 10th Middlesex County animal found with rabies this year

A raccoon found in Piscataway on Saturday has become the 10th animal to test positive for rabies this year in Middlesex County, health officials said today. The animal was spotted by a resident who said it was drooling and unafraid of humans. The resident reported it to police, who killed the animal and sent it to the state health laboratory for testing. The results came back today as positive for rabies.
