The Pine Barrens of New Jersey may be an unlikely place for a classroom setting, but the Pinelands Preservation Alliance (PPA) is out to prove otherwise.  From June 21 to 25, during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.,educators are invited to experience the diverse wildlife and open spaces of one of New Jersey’s natural treasures through the fourth annual Life Science Field Training Institute.  The PPA, which operates the institute, is headquartered in Pemberton Township. The institute is a combination of seminars and fieldwork, led by PPA educators, and covers subjects that include environmental science, history and public policy issues.
