Since various improvements, the vast South Mountain Reservation in Essex County offers its parks, ponds, and paved paths to locals and visitors who wish to enjoy nature and recreation in a clean, well-maintained environment.  Throughout its 2,047 acres, the Reservation has abundant wildlife, bike paths, dog parks, fishing, mini golf, a restaurant and one of the best zoos in New Jersey.
