NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife: Update on peregrine falcon chicks in Jersey City

May 25, 2010: This morning biologist Kathy Clark made what has become an annual "pilgrimage" to the roof of 101 Hudson St. to band the peregrine chicks. All four were found to be in excellent health and quite robust. It was determined that all four chicks are female and about the same size, indicating they are all well fed and no one chick is particularly dominant at feeding time. It also means the parents are doing an excellent job providing enough food for all four growing chicks.
