Just this past weekend, two Rutgers alumni walked out of their front door in Hackettstown and were very surprised to see this owlet sitting on the lawn. Despite its loud screeching and their first instinct to take care of the young owl, they decided to leave the owlet alone overnight to see if the mother would come back for it.
The next morning the owlet was still in the same place outside so they brought it to The Raptor Trust. For over 25 years, The Raptor Trust has been one of the most premier wild bird rehabilitation centers in the United States. Located in Millington, NJ, the Trust includes a hospital with state-of-the-art medical facilities, quality exterior housing for several hundred birds, and an education building.

On the way to Raptor Trust.
