NJDEP News Release: DEP Launches Stakeholder meetings on Barnegat Bay

The future health of Barnegat Bay, an ecological gem of New Jersey, will be the focus of a series of public stakeholder meetings using science to develop a comprehensive list of actions to be taken to protect the environmentally important region.

Governor Chris Christie has made a commitment to determine the best approach to address the ecological health of the bay and to consider how to deal with effects on the bay of cooling systems at the Oyster Creek nuclear power plant.
