The Meadowlands Nature Blog: Mother's Day Walk in Ridgefield

The Second Annual Mother's Day Nature Walk takes place in Ridgefield this Sunday. The free-two hour walk begins at the Ridgefield Nature Center at 10 a.m. After looking for spring migratory birds and looking at the flora at this beautiful 5.4-acre site, you will see the Monk Parakeet colony along Railroad Avenue before winding up the walk at the 16-acre Skeetkill Creek Marsh — once a degraded patch of phragmites.
